A MESSAGE FROM CHELTENHAM SPORTS PRESIDENT, GREG CAPPS
Dear Cheltenham Sports Members,
I would like to take this opportunity for making 2009 such a great year. We had some significant achievements and we look forward to a great 2010.
While thanks goes to every volunteer who comes out week after week to work with our great kids and assist in the development and growth of Cheltenham youth, I would like to specially thank our program directors, who without the countless hours of volunteer service they provide, our programs could not prosper.
Those individuals are Steve Ryan (basketball), Mike Romanicki (roller hockey), Aaron Rubin (intramural soccer) and Garry Takle (travel soccer). Both our basketball and hockey programs transitioned this year to excellent leadership with Steve and Mike, while our soccer programs continued to flourish bringing home several championship from both the travel side and intramural side of the house (albeit with a lot of rain this fall). Congats to all and thanks.
Also, please note that we will have a special membership meeting on January 7, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. to elect the Board of Directors for 2010. The meeting will be at Rowland Community Center. The list of nominees for the 2010 Board of Directors are:
1. Bonnie Aaron 2. Nigel Blower 3. Greg Capps 4. Chris Chaplin 5. Christos Christou 6. Mark Deitcher 7. Joel Fishbein 8. Len Garza 9. Ed Klaus 10. Meg Koppel 11. Joe Kuffler 12. Jeannette McLaughlin 13. Jim McNally 14. Jack Neyer 15. Bruce Rangnow 16. Mike Romanicki 17. Aaron Rubin 18. Steve Ryan 19. Garry Takle 20. Bill Wilken
Immediately following the meeting will be a general board meeting at 8:00 at which time, Mike Barr, Director of Coaching with the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association, will be speaking to us about what EPYSA has to offer, focusing on coach education and answering general questions. If you plan to attend, please e-mail me at greg.capps@verizon.net to let me know.
Thanks and best wishes to you all for a Happy New Year!!!!
